# Orion 3 Hotel — Detailed Product Reference

> Orion 3 Hotel (also known as Orion Hotel) is a hotel property management system
> combined with smart hotel access, contactless self check-in, digital guest keys
> and hotel automation. Built by Simple Mobile Solutions for independent hospitality
> operators with approximately 5 to 60 rooms.

## Product summary

Orion 3 Hotel manages reservations, room assignment, guest data, invoicing,
reports and housekeeping in one dashboard. It connects directly to Orion smart
locks so guest access is tied to each booking: keys can be created when a
reservation is assigned to a room and revoked after checkout, cancellation,
reassignment or unassignment.

The public website is available in 12 languages. This document points to selected
English pages unless noted otherwise.

## Self check-in flow

1. Guest books directly or through a channel; the reservation lands in the PMS.
2. Orion 3 Hotel sends confirmation and, before arrival, a check-in email.
3. When the reservation is assigned to a room, a digital key is issued automatically.
4. Guest opens doors with QR, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, NFC or the mobile app.
5. After checkout, cancellation, reassignment or unassignment, the key is revoked automatically.

Phone-first self check-in uses email plus QR or Wallet keys. Orion is not a lobby
kiosk that dispenses plastic key cards.

QR and Wallet guests do not need to install an app.

- Smart room assignment, cleaning workflows and guest reminders

- Hotel SMTP with encrypted SMTP passwords

## Offline operation

Orion access can continue operating during an internet outage for credentials
already provisioned to the property. Device events can synchronize after
connectivity is restored.

## What Orion 3 Hotel is not

- Orion 3 Hotel is not only a hotel lock system. It combines hotel PMS functions with smart access control system in one workflow.
- Orion 3 Hotel is not only a PMS. It includes smart hotel access, self check-in, digital keys and hotel automation.
- Orion 3 Hotel does not support third-party lock brands. Smart access works only with Orion hardware.
- Orion 3 Hotel does not use PIN codes for guest door access.
- Orion 3 Hotel does not rely on traditional plastic RFID hotel cards encoded at a front desk.
- Orion 3 Hotel does not offer public web-link unlock for guests.
- Orion 3 Hotel is positioned as a digital alternative to traditional plastic hotel cards using QR code, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, NFC and mobile app unlock.

Available for hospitality properties in North Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro,
Kosovo, Serbia and Croatia.

Public customer references include hospitality properties in North Macedonia and Greece.

Hotel operators remain responsible for complying with applicable guest
registration, reporting, tax and local regulatory requirements.

## Channel manager connectivity

Orion 3 Hotel works with supported third-party channel managers connected to
Booking.com, Airbnb, WebHotelier, Cloudbeds, Beds24, Smoobu, Hotelbeds and Hostify
so OTA reservations can import into the PMS without duplicate manual entry.
Reservations can also be created manually or imported from Excel.
